- Breach search functionality
3. Service Terms
Services are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind:
- No guaranteed uptime or availability
- Services may be modified or discontinued without notice
- Rate limiting may apply to prevent abuse
- No service level agreement (SLA)
- Data accuracy is not guaranteed and is provided for informational purposes only
4. User Responsibilities
When using ExposedMap, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when registering
- Not use automated tools to scrape or harvest data without permission
- Not misuse breach data for harassment, extortion, or illegal purposes
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls
- Only check email addresses you own or have authorization to check
5. Intellectual Property
ExposedMap and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ExposedMap and are protected by intellectual property laws. Breach data displayed on the platform is derived from publicly available sources including government breach notification portals, regulatory bodies, public knowledge bases, cybersecurity news feeds, and official company disclosures.
You may not redistribute, reproduce, or create derivative works from ExposedMap data without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.
6. Disclaimers
Important limitations of this Service:
- Not legal advice: ExposedMap is an informational resource and does not constitute legal, security, or compliance advice
- Not a security audit: This Service is not a substitute for professional security assessments
- Data limitations: Breach records may be incomplete, delayed, or contain inaccuracies from source data
- Third-party sources: We aggregate data from third parties and cannot guarantee its accuracy or completeness
- Geographic approximation: Breach locations are mapped to organization headquarters and may not represent where affected users reside
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- ExposedMap shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the Service
- No consequential damages: In no event shall ExposedMap be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Force majeure: We are not liable for failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to ExposedMap at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe:

- Involves misuse of breach data or platform functionality
- Circumvents rate limits or access controls
- Is harmful to other users or the integrity of the Service
Upon termination, your rights to use the Service cease immediately. Deletion of your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ExposedMap and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days, it may be brought before the courts located in the State of California.
11. Severability
